Not much to say other than it is cold. The horses are cold and need blankets. The dogs are cold and don't stay out for long so they have a lot of extra energy. Kaj too needs to burn some energy. At least we have the shop and he and the dogs run in circles around in there. Skinner is on facebook now and the internet connection went kaput so now it is cold and he can't go on facebook so he was having some withdrawls. He said he wasn't that it was the wind making him crabby but he was holding it together until he couldn't get on the computer. Brandi has been watching movies for four days at her Mom's and she was very ready to get back to school but she is going to have to stay home for another day because school was closed for her. Gert of course had a hair appointment yesterday when it was a 45 below windchill and she went. Skinner called her last night to chew her out about it but she made it home anyway.
On the upside the stove has been keeping up with keeping everything warm and there is just a couple more months and it will be spring and I would rather have the snow and cold instead of an ice storm.

Toothless
Kaj lost his first and second teeth this last weekend. Friday night his Dad pulled the top front tooth and then the other front one was just hanging there all crooked so Sunday he used the pliers and pulled the second one. Kaj looks pretty funny with no front teeth but that hasn't slowed his talking at all!
Kaj also started swimming lessons through school at the new Y. He said the first day was awesome! He also is back on the job at the bank or so he says. He is going to be my assistant and work the numbers for me when someone comes in and wants to sell their home. He said he will work with me the days that he doesn't have school. Also he has informed us that he is going to be teaching a class this summer so he can't go to Explorer's Club. He said it is going to be an advanced class. I am not sure what the class is in but he will be teaching it every day.
Toby the new dog is doing pretty well. He seems to have tweeked his leg so he is limping now. Hopefully that will get better in the next few days. The dogs are all getting along great so that is good.
Brandi has repainted her room. Brandi, Kaj and I actually did it. It is a dark blue. Kaj and I picked up her new chair in Duluth last weekend. Hopefully this weekend now she will get things put back together a bit. It would be even better if she got rid of some of her debris.
Skinner is still logging and it has finally warmed up so that he can work. He got a new head put on the bunch during the cold snap so that was good.
Grandma Swanson is settled in in Duluth. She really likes the facility that she is in but DOES NOT like her roommate. She is on all the waiting lists so we will just see what becomes available first and if she will want to move.
Other than that things seem to be going along fairly well. Lets hope that it keeps going that way.

Happy New Year!
It has been an exciting last year. Highlights would be getting Eino the puppy last winter, a colt in the fall and Toby for Christmas. I guess I didn't realize how many members we added to the family this year. Brandi played Volleyball and has grown out of daycare and is looking forward to doing some babysitting this year to earn money. She is saving money for something but I am not sure what. Brandi started and advanced math class and is doing well in it even though she was not impressed to be going into it. Bailey came to visit for almost three weeks and she and Brandi had a great time together.
Kaj has been growing and progressing. He has 4 loose teeth right now but he won't wiggle them. I accidently opened the car door into his face this morning and that made one of them very loose so hopefully that will be the silver lining of the unfortunate event. He really was riding his bike and 4 wheeler very well. Quite often this last summer he would bike down to the neighbors by himself. He is also getting much better at reading. It is truly amazing when they can read notes and things. Or correct you while you are reading but in his dad's defence ninjago is not a regular part of the english language or spinzitsu.
Skinner is still logging and doing dirt work. Almost got him to take a county job but to no avail.
I still work at the bank and other than my panic attack in June and having to go back onto some anti anxiety meds everything in my world is pretty steady.
