Kaj just realized about a week ago that he can technically drive anywhere he wants by himself. So he decided that this weekend he was going to go and spend the weekend at Brandi's in Maple WI. She also asked if he could bring down our 20 foot trailer but he had good sense to say I just don't feel safe doing that this time. 2 weeks ago he did his first 4 hour drive by himself but his Dad was in another truck to go and get hay in Palo. So this will be the first totally on his own on a route that he has not driven before. It will go fine. Again I am amazed at how many firsts there are in life. I used to think that we just had most of those in our first 10 years of life but really they just keep going forever.

Another one
Kaj went and interviewed for his first real job yesterday. He will be working as a yard hand for the Cook County Home Center. He was already wearing his uniform to school today. A high vis sweatshirt and hat advertising the Home Center.

More firsts
A few days ago Kaj passed his behind the wheel test and now has his farm permit. He has been driving to get sap and today was the first day he got to drive himself to school!
Last week in the "first" you never even thought about or had long since passed Kaj informed me when he wore his Dad's white washed jeans which are probably 30 years old they were actually snug on him and it was the first time that he has ever had to unzip his pants to pee instead of just pulling them down! Almost 16 years and he has never had to zip pants!😅
Brandi and Dave have finally put in an offer on a house in Maple WI. If all goes well they close on the house May 26th!
