He is 11!

I was going to get a group photo of Kaj's Birthday sleepover but I didn't get a chance.  The boys started out with a football game in the morning and then we took them all home.  It was a cold, cloudy day but they were outside most of the day.  BBQ for lunch, Sven's for dinner, pumpkin pie for dessert and then pancakes, bacon and breakfast sandwiches for breakfast.  The boys were so polite and wonderful to have around.  Cade, Noah, Hunter and Jake were the visitors.  I gave them a ride on the side by side and we ran into a down tree on the path.  Seeing as how they are the football team and told them to get out and move it.  Which they did!  Can not say enough good things about these boys.  Brandi and Sophie helped out with the cooking and entertaining at times.  Very much appreciated!  I love my family.

6th Grade

Kaj had his first day of 6th grade.  I dropped him off at 7:45.  He said he needs to go earlier tomorrow because he is not organized.  School starts at 8:15 I believe.  In high school they have A days and B days with longer class periods each day.  So today was schedule A.  He started with band which he said was good.  Then gym, the gym teacher just resigned 2 weeks ago and they don't have a new teacher yet and the sub didn't seem to know what to do so they played soccer.  Then he had advisory which is like homeroom or study hall.  He said today they just congregated.  Then lunch which has the regular hot lunch but a lot of ala cart items which might make me broke if we don't come to an agreement.  Then he had art and math.  Art was good he liked that they got to move around and didn't have to just sit in one spot like elementary.  Math was really fun.  He said the teacher wrote a question on the board "What is math"  Kaj said "The structure of the world"!  Seriously where does he come up with this stuff.  Then he had football practice for the first time.  He really liked it "Nothing like getting trucked on the first day of practice"  Which apparently means getting pushed over.  He made a comment to Skinner that high school is really chaotic or frantic.  There are a lot of people around and he was like a minute late for each class.  All in all I would say that it all went very well and he will go back tomorrow.
