Last week Skinner's Mom fell on the ice. Cracked her hip and broke her wrist. His Dad is 92 and we were going to get him a room at the hospital or nursing home because he just needs more eyes on him then we can provide. Unfortunately there were no rooms available. So for three days we were with him and found Gert and Bill a room together at a care center in Duluth. Awesome! So friday we took Bill down and Gert went with Northern Access. However Northern Access showed up with a wheel chair to move her. Then they wanted more money before they would move her with the stretcher. Unfortunately we had already left and were in Beaver Bay. So Skinner told them how it was going to go and Gert got to Duluth and we paid Northern Access.
Saturday Gert was too impatient waiting for the nurses to come and help her move so she tried to do it herself and fell twice. So she is now at St. Mary's and poor Bill is at Bayshore by himself. The nurses said he is really doing good. But if Gert is gone too long he starts to worry. Hopefully Gert will be back soon. She seems to have some sort of weird urinary track infection so we will see.
Sunday then Kaj climbs in bed with us at 3:30 and at 4:00 he threw up. Then again at 6 and he was done but he slept most of the day. Poor little guy. So who knows what adventure there will be this week. It just seems like one thing after another right now. Other than that things are going along pretty good.
