Picture from the picnic on Elbow Lake with Grandpa and Grandma Becca.

Still need to work on the paddling skills.

Brandi steered the canoe all the way back to our trucks from the picnic spot. She did a very good job. It was her first time doing that.

Our picnic somewhere on Elbow Lake.

Random story in the middle of all the Elbow Lake pictures but here it goes anyway. Last night we went to Grand Portage for the 50s and 60s weekend. It was great. There was a classic car show up there to so Skinner was lost to us for the evening but the kids did a lot of dancing, throwing rocks in the lake and playing on the swing set. One of our friends was up there and she had asked Kaj to dance. He was still getting used to the whole scene so he wasn't into it. But he got some Famous Dave's in him for supper and he was ready to dance. I was still eating so I told him to go and ask Carline who had asked him before. He was half way down the tent by himself, about 50 feet and stood next to her. She wasn't looking down for awhile. He called out Mom which got her attention and she knelt down and he asked her if she would go dance with him. Pretty cute.

Kaj's first catch was a perch. His eyes got pretty big but he was not going to reel it in. He then caught a northern and another perch. All on a Sponge Bob rod(Thank you Auntie)! It was on Elbow Lake.

We went to dinner at Grandma Gerts a couple weeks ago and Brandi had to dress up herself and Kaj in their best outfits. They were adorable.

I walked into the bathroom and Kaj had pink toenails and toilet paper between each of his toes so the nail polish wouldn't get messed up. It is great having an older sister. Every day is like a spa day!

Here Kaj is making double chocolate cupcakes.
