Beautiful weekend

It was another busy one. Brandi came on Friday night. We dropped her off with my parents Saturday about 11 and she came home about 2:30. They went and caught up on ski lessons from the weekend before when Brandi wasn't there.

Then Saturday night Kaj started throwing up. He only did it twice. The first time he was in bed and I heard a strange cough. About two minutes later he said "Mommy I need you". He was sitting up in bed with puke all over himself. We got him cleaned up and the bed remade. Skinner bless his heart had the gag reflex and puked a little himself. But he never complained. Kaj came and slept with me. I had a little garbage can that I propped up between the night table and the bed. I told Kaj if he could at all tell me when he was going to throw up again or felt like he was going to that we would try and get it in the bucket. At 2:30 in the morning I woke up to puking noises and Kaj was laying across the bed with his head in the bucket. There was no puke on the bed. I was just so proud of him. Then he rolled over on his back said his mouth didn't hurt anymore and went right back to sleep.

So Sunday plans were going to have to be changed. Brandi wanted to go to Sunday School so I called my parents again and they said they would bring her. So Skinner made pancakes, Brandi went to Sunday School and Kaj just stayed home and hung out. Then after church the kids, Skinner and myself went for a couple of trips down the sledding hill. We went home had lunch and then it was off to skiing for Kaj and Brandi. Brandi had her lesson with her group while Kaj had a private lesson with Grandpa. Then after about an hour Kaj and Grandpa went into the warming shack where Kaj set up his camp chair started to have a snack and fell asleep even though everyone else was starting to come in as well.

After the skiing it was home again for another quick meal and to send Brandi back to her mother's. Monday was pretty laid back until the snow started to let up and then Kaj and I went out and plowed with the skidsteer for a couple of hours. I couldn't believe all the snow we got. Kaj was the window wiper operater. After I was done plowing then Skinner jumped in and plowed with Kaj for another hour or so.

All in all a pretty good weekend.
