I know, I know I have been very neglectful of writing on the blog. But on Saturday an amazing thing happened. Kaj learned how to pump himself on the swing so now no one has to push him. Not that he was a big pest about that kind of thing. He only occassionally hung out on the swings, but none the less I was very pleased that he finally decided to do it and did it very well!
Things have been a little quiet here without Brandi. She was at camp last week and now is at her Mom's for three weeks so we won't see her for a while. It sounds like she had a great time at Hiawatha this year. She said she liked it about the same as Vermillion and she didn't mind that she was there by herself. I can't wait to see pictures (hopefully she took some since she has her Dad's camera!).
The kids had an awesome time with cousin Bailey here and are already planning on next summer. Kaj said "there are a lot of hard times ahead" when Bailey first pulled in the yard but I think he had a lot of fun times.
Last weekend Kaj and I took Grandma Gert out to Breakfast, then to see Grandpa Bill. Grandpa Bill told Kaj he had a nice heavy jacket from him that he could have. (I thought Grandpa Bill and lost his marbles right then and there) then he added it doesn't fit him quite right and Kaj could grow into it. (At least he still recognizes Kaj is still smaller than him.)
Skinner has been bailing hay for weeks now. At least that is how it feels with all this heat. Soon he should be done and maybe get back to doing dirt work. I am still just plugging away at work.
