First Conference

Last night we had Kaj's first school conference.  I know we had them in preschool but this felt more official.  Kaj is doing very well and should not have to repeat Kindergarten!  Last week he started coloring in the lines and he is getting more interested in writing letters again.  On the way home he counted backwards from 20 for me.  He got stuck on 12 and 11 but otherwise he did it.  It was awesome.  He came to work with me today for awhile and I had him type some numbers like 54.  He had a handle on what two numbers would have to be put together but he lost it when I said 241.  He pretty much thought I was nuts!  It was very fun to see his progress in this short time and as far as kids in Minnesota he is on the high end of average.  He teacher was nervous about him coming in early to school but she is very comfortable with him in the class.  He has exceeded her expectations which is good.  Works out good when they start with low expectations though!
