Got spanked

This weekend the family and Grandpa went up to help at Karli's house for a bit.  We did a bunch of weeding and planted flowers.  Organized stuff and cleaned up the garage.  After the kids and Skinner had left Grandpa, Auntie and I were sitting on the couch and Grandpa had to check the weather.  He was making comments like "some rain there" "good no flooding there" "flashflood warning here"  And then he pointed to his radar on the phone and said "that is where we are going to get spanked"  Just another comment, no excitment to his voice and Auntie and I just started to laugh.  Not a phrase he uses often.  Well we did a bit more and then I packed up and left.  Boy did I get spanked on the way home.  I should have pulled over but of course I didn't.  Rain, hail, hydroplaning...Crazy.  We got over 1/2 inch in that little burst.  There was literally a river running through the front yard.  Kaj couldn't be more thrilled about it.
