Concepts

It is really incredible how Kaj is putting things together. And the ATTITUDE he has right now. I think he is going through a bit a growth spurt and not wanting to sleep either is not helping the emotional rollercoaster. He got a time out during supper the other night. I let him get down when he is done with his tantrum usually. He finished and came back to the table and says" I changed my attitude Mommy" Which he had but it is nice to know he is listening to me while he is yelling and I am yelling at him.

He has quite the arm as well he has been practicing throwing rocks into the pond and he can dribble a basketball as well. He is not getting the idea that the soccer ball is just for kicking though. He thinks that should be dribbled as well.

All my plants are coming along nicely. The ones in the greenhouse have flowers and the ones out in the flower beds are coming up. I hope we don't have a deep freeze until next fall.

Kaj wished Grandpa a happy Birthday yesterday morning which Grandpa Jim was tickled about.

Kaj's new phrases (mostly ones picked up from his Dad) "We're off and racing" "stupid, stupid, stupid"-when something is not going right, I am not fond of it but considering the other language his father uses I guess stupid is not so bad. Also he tells you "I am mad/sad". I he loves a lot of things lately or says they are his favorite. When you tuck him in at night he says "love you, sweet dreams". He is also learning a lot about size. He is small Mommy is big. He does a lot of comparing things in that respect. It is all about how things work. The neighbor who has a boy two days younger was commenting that Kaj walks around the shop and get a screwdriver or wrench and uses them properly. His son was trying to fix a tire with a piece of dog food yesterday! He really is a good kid. I said Kaj is just more realistic and logical and the neighbor kid has a better imagination. It will be interesting to see how the two of them turn out. Big Russ the neighbor boy can ride a tryke no problem and Kaj still won't get both feet on the pedals unless he is going down hill and even then you need to tell him over and over to do it.
